On May 20th of this year, I had the great honor of shooting a short, close-knit wedding celebration for my friends, Rendee Hansen and Trina Whitten. I was so surprised and flattered when I received an inquiry about a month out from the wedding! Trina had emailed me hoping to get a price, as she knew that Rendee was an admirer of my photography work and wanted to surprise her by hiring me. Isn't that so sweet?! I was so excited at the thought of being able to shoot their long-awaited wedding, so I got right back to Trina and the rest is history!
Rendee and Trina have been together for over a decade now, and said "I do" with friends and family surrounding them on the date of their ten year anniversary. Everyone pulled together to help with food, decorations, and planning, and as a result we had a most perfect day. Rendee and Trina's colors were orange and pink, and this brightly colored wedding was so perfect for them!

Rendee's bright and vibrant bridal bouquet was created by Barb's Flowers in Roseburg.
So many colorful details! I loved the little candy bar/dessert table with all the little orange, pink, glitter and rhinestone accents. Jill's Sugarbuzz Bakery created the wedding cake and mini cupcakes for the brides.
Rendee's parents were front and center, and I caught this beautiful moment as they both hugged their daughter before she stepped up to say "I do"! Both brides were escorted down the aisle by their sons.
Right after Rendee and Trina were pronounced Mrs. and Mrs., the guests got a little surprise--those dark curtains opened up, and Captain Blue began playing Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" during the recessional! This was such a fun and cool touch!!!
The Wedding Party:
Party time! Captain Blue was awesome! If you need a band for your wedding, I highly recommend them!
While the band played and people danced, the sons of the brides were having a little fun outside...
With such a short wedding day, we decided it would be best to schedule the bridal portraits for another day of the week so Rendee and Trina could enjoy all of their reception with the friends and family who came to celebrate their love.
Henry Estates Winery was very gracious, and allowed us to use their beautiful property for all of the bridal portraits. We spent about an hour just walking around, chatting, getting these ladies giggling, and capturing some beautiful memories for them!
The really nice thing about doing a portrait session after the wedding is, you can take your time to get some shots that are a little different. I love when couples have the patience to let me play a little during portraits to get a cool effect :)
Thanks sooo much to Rendee and Trina for letting me be a part of your awesome day! You are both such wonderful people, and it's my pleasure to know you and to have captured these memories for you! I wish you all the love and happiness in the world!!!
